RE needs volunteers for Summer Program

Diverse Hands Holding The Word Volunteer

This summer the children explore stories from Teaching Tolerance which is a project of the Southern Poverty Law Center.  These stories help children learn how to accept and help others and live out their UU values.  These tales offer a diverse mix of stories and perspectives and are all age-appropriate.  Each Sunday we will need one volunteer teacher and two volunteer assistants to support our combined Pre K / K-5 summer learning group.

Can you support our RE Summer Program by setting up the classroom?  We need a volunteer every Sunday in July (July 7,14,21,28) to arrive at 9:15 am (before class and Worship start) to set up the classroom for that day’s lesson.  I will teach volunteers how to set up the classroom at 9:15 am on June 16th, 23rd, and 30th. Could you volunteer for all four Sundays?  Could you volunteer for one or two Sundays?  This volunteer position allows you to support Children’s RE and be finished before worship!

We have a terrific Summer RE Program with great stories and lots of activities planned for our children.  We need your volunteer support to make this happen.  Our congregation clearly said that a part of our Vision for our UU Church going forward is to provide engaging, informative, safe, and age appropriate RE for our Children.  It takes many hands to keep our Children’s RE running smoothly.  Signing up to volunteer is one way members can demonstrate our congregation’s dedication to providing RE for our Children at UUCCWC.

This is a chance for YOU to be a part of bringing that Vision into reality!
